Established in 1882, the Restaurant proudly joins the Association of the Historical Sites of italy.

In the beginning, the Buca San Giovanni was the former Sacristy of the Baptistry San Giovanni, before the building of the Cathedral Santa Reparata, later on was a secret meeting place where the Rosa Croce Masons started the activities. Many important people showed at the "Buca" like the Prince of Bulgaria for his bachelor party in the '30ies and th U.S. President John F. Kennedy.

Even now, here - under the ancient vaults - you may have the pleasure to sit next to some celebrities of cinema and sport, enjoying the warm atmosphere and the excellent Tuscan food.
